Hugh Leung is a Hong Kong-based artist, who has just received his Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts from Goldsmiths, University of London. Leung mainly uses illustration, sculpture and installation to explore the disorienting and conflicting issues in the contemporary world.
Having lived in metropolises in both the East and the West –– Hong Kong and London, Leung is keen on exploring the notion of the metropolis through creating works that relate to everyday objects and experiences. He aims to use his works as an artistic platform to invite viewers who also live in a capitalist world to rethink the universally shared social issues brought about by capitalism and consumerism.
