Intimate relationships between human bodies on the bed, time, sunlight, and surface are always subject matters in my oil paintings. The materiality of canvas and cotton bedsheets sit behind perceptions. The way of sleeper touching, hugging, and laying on cotton bedsheets is communion with brushes to canvas. By taking pictures of bedsheets during a different time of the day, enlarging detailed sections of bedsheets I reconstructed the photos that I took into eight different sectors. The magnifying of such a private, personal piece of life shifts the nature of the notion of bedsheets, painting it as a revealed and shared with the audience element of intimacy. My lens captures the delicate intimacy and enlarges it back to emphasise the closeness on canvases. The leftover warmth we left on the bed at night when we sleep, and the warmth that sunlight shades on the bed from the window are the rhyme of temperature change. Sunrise and sunset bring and separate intimates. The fact that mankind is aging creatures, creates tension with the time that we try to resist and adapt. Bed, is a psychic time as a space of reconciliation - the perception, duration, emotion, and desire are all happening in one. This is captured a temporal disruption by bodies and natural sunlight warmth that dispenses with uniformity melting in the clock. I unpicked, dismantled, and puzzling canvas to bedsheets that sit behind the space.
