The materiality of our surrounding exercises influence over the construction of situation and our notion on the structure of society. As a result, the hierarchy that imposes on matter reflects the disoriented bodies and their disciplines as mobile subjects. In relation to Tsang’s interest about the architecture of situation, she probes beyond matter, the fluidity of resistant materials, and its internal tension through representing and transcending them; unpacking the utterly neat surface and the rationale of architecture. She provokes to refuse being used to the signified and expand our physical notion of construction material. In her search of an alternative perspective of the material world, she seeks to cause a destabilizing effect towards the utilization of material, create a force of persuasion and negotiation in the polarized situation, and empower the people.
